Essential Hypnosis Skills for Hypnobirthing Practitioners & all Birth Professionals
As a hypnobirthing practitioner, does it bother you that you feel like you can't or shouldn't move away from the 'script'?
Perhaps you're concerned that the hypnosis aspect of your practitioner training didn't provide you with enough experience or confidence in the hypnosis aspect of your practise?
So how good would it feel to have the confidence to adapt scripts you already use, write your own or even work with your client with absolutely no script at all?!
On this 2 day experiential course, Nigel Hetherington and I (both practising Clinical Hypnotherapists and trainers) will take you through a range of simple to learn and easy to use processes and techniques which mean that you feel ready to take the next step towards working more flexibly with your hypnobirthing clients.
All of the students who were on the pilot course in January had moved away from the script by the end of day 1 of this training - and by day 2 were able to run an entire hypnotic process with clients. Additionally, feedback was that they had begun to integrate their new learning with clients immediately following the course!
So if you're ready for the next level of hypnobirthing teaching... if you're looking forward to experiencing more confidence and greater flexibility and find a deeper sense of excitement in delivering your courses - this might well be an ideal training for you.
"I feel so much more confident moving on. The course really has been everything I hoped it would be." Christine duffill - Hypnobirthing Teacher & Doula.
You may already be a very competent Hypnobirthing Practitioner who has, as part of your training, already undertaken a short module in hypnosis - perhaps there has, up until now, been an expectation that for the hypnosis aspect of your course delivery, you rely solely on reading scripts which have been written or recorded by other people. Or perhaps you are another kind of birth professional who would love to be able to harness the power of hypnosis and NLP to rapidly and easily facilitate positive change for your clients.
" I really would recommend anyone who is teaching hypnobirthing to book, it was invaluable and provided lots of missing links for me since my initial hypnobirthing training". Charlotte Keyworth - Hypnobirthing Practitioner & Midwife.
This course aims to demystify 'hypnosis' for all birth professionals and provide you with the tools to continue doing what you already do excellently, yet with additional skills, competence and confidence whilst (especially for hypnobirthing teachers) moving towards more independence in the way you work with your clients.
By the end of this course you will have gained deeper insight and confidence in:
- The structure of hypnotic scripts.
- An introduction to hypnotic language.
- How to write your own scripts.
- Some techniques which allow you move away from using scripts altogether.
- Using your voice to maximise your clients potential for change.
- Several hypnotic induction techniques (definitely not scripted).
- Hypnotic processes/techniques to help your client make significant shifts (yes, you guessed it - without a script!).
- Self hypnosis techniques that you can teach to your clients.
- Facilitationg your client to anchor useful states
- Using and structuring metaphor within trance as a means for change.
"My Confidence has grown, I have mastered new techniques and have consolidated previous learning all in one go! Can't wait to put it all into practice!" Joanna Newcombe - Hypnobirthing Teacher.
"The techniques I have learnt are amazing and I am looking forward to using them with my clients." Jenie Scholes - Hypnobirthing Teacher
